This vehicle came to our shop with failed emissions the day after going through the inspection lanes. There was a safety issue noted as well, "inoperative brake lights". Our diagnosis found a disconnected spark plug wire was causing the high emissions output. While repairing the emission problem, we raised the vehicle on the lift to change the oil contaminated with fuel from the misfiring cylinder. The above pictures show what else we found found. The left front tire was about bald and the steel belt was showing on the inner edge. We also discovered a loose steering component.
